Feeling Stuck? Your Body Might Be Holding You Back

It all begins with an idea.

I see you. You’re trying to figure out your next step, playing out all the possibilities in your mind, hoping the right answer will finally land. But instead of clarity, you just feel more stuck. The overthinking, the brain fog, the exhaustion—it’s like running in circles without getting anywhere.

I get it. Moving from a head-led approach to a body-led approach has been a journey for me too. For the longest time, I thought if I just spent more time thinking about things, the answers would come. But I didn’t realize that the stress, fear, and uncertainty weren’t just mental—they were stored deep in my body too

That's the thing with stress and tension stored in the body - It keeps us looping in our minds.

When I finally connected with body-led practices, it was like I could drop the armor I’d been carrying for so long and reconnect with feeling. That’s where the magic happened—when I started feeling my way through decisions instead of overanalyzing them.

So, you might be noticing this in your own body too:

  • You wake up in the middle of the night, mind racing, unable to settle back to sleep.

  • Your shoulders, neck, or stomach feel tight no matter how much you try to relax.

  • You feel heavy, sluggish, or exhausted, even when you haven’t done anything particularly draining.

  • You keep looping on decisions, analyzing every possible outcome, but never feeling certain enough to move forward or even avoiding decisions and feeling “frozen”

  • There’s this constant undercurrent of anxiety or unease, even when nothing is technically wrong.

  • Overwhelm at the thought of your next decision

These aren’t just random symptoms—they’re signs that your body is carrying more than just thoughts. It’s holding onto old stress, fear, and tension, keeping you stuck in place. And the thing is, you don’t think your way out of this—you release it. When you do, decision-making becomes easier, your mind clears, and your energy starts to return. The next step you’ve been agonizing over? It starts to feel obvious.

So, where do you start?

The first step is simply noticing. Right now, take a deep breath. Scan your body—where are you holding tension? Where does it feel tight or heavy? Just bringing awareness to it is powerful.

To help you go deeper, I’ve created an Emotional Baggage Checklist. This simple but powerful tool will help you pinpoint the hidden emotional and mental blocks keeping you stuck so you can start releasing them.

Here’s the thing—clarity isn’t something you think your way into. It’s something you create by clearing space, emotionally and physically. The more you release, the more aligned your next step will become.

The more you release, the more space you create for clarity, alignment, and action.

With Love,

Jess

The hidden cost of overthinking your next step

It all begins with an idea.

I have been that woman.

The one who spent countless hours overthinking every decision—spinning in circles, trying to predict every possible outcome before making a move.

And do you know what it cost me? Years. Years of second-guessing myself, waiting for certainty, delaying what my heart already knew.

It ate away at my self trust and self confidence.

It resulted in me hesitating on myself.

It cost me. A lot.

Here's the thing, overthinking feels like productivity, but really, it’s just fear in disguise.

It tricks you into believing that if you analyze things long enough, you’ll find the perfect answer. But instead, it keeps you stuck in a cycle of doubt, exhaustion, and hesitation.

From the nervous system perspective, It’s really your nervous system trying to keep you safe by controlling every possible outcome. It’s the weight of unprocessed emotions—past failures, fear of judgment, or the pressure to get it exactly right before taking action.

And the longer you stay in that loop, the more drained you feel.

I am the biggest advocate for body-led transformation because “safety” and “fear” are responses of the nervous system.

And I truly put my own growth and transformation down to this work.

I wouldn’t have broken free if I hadn’t done the nervous system-led work to clear the emotional baggage that was keeping me trapped in my head.

Today, I am a more courageous fearless version of myself.
✔️ I make bold moves.
✔️ I trust my vision fully.
✔️ I lean into my spot-on intuition.
✔️ I have difficult conversations with my partner.
✔️ I say no without guilt.
✔️ I hesitate less.

And oh my GOSH—the feeling is full-body freedom.

I trust myself so deeply now—to be led by my heart, my intuition, my inner knowing.

This is the true power of this work.

So how do you break free? Here are four ways to connect back to Clarity.

  1. Get out of your head and into your body. Clarity doesn’t come from more thinking—it comes when you shift your state through nervous system work, movement, or deep embodiment practices.

  2. Trust your first knowing. Before your mind jumps in with doubts, there’s always a deeper truth inside you.

  3. Shift from “What if I fail?” to “What if I thrive?” The brain tends to focus on fear, but opening to possibility changes everything.

  4. Take small aligned actions. Perfection isn’t required, but movement is. The clarity you seek comes from action—not from endlessly thinking about it.

So, go out there, take some action and make your dreams a reality.

With love,

Jess
